Mixed media; Textile, paper, digital print, screen print painting, stitching, and pyrography
A series of works observing Tel Aviv as a space in the constant motion of construction, erosion, and renewal—where changing facades and tenacious vegetation coexist. Amidst new high-rises, crumbling structures, and pockets of urban nature, and within the city’s frenetic pace, an in-between space emerges—one where questions of home, belonging, and time remain open.
The material language of the work carries its meaning. Layers of textile and paper—along with processes of printing, stitching, and burning—accumulate to create a saturated, almost sedimentary surface. Stitching acts as a gesture of connection and mending; burning leaves traces of time; the textile absorbs memory, much like a city that harbors signs of life, loss, and renewal.
The series offers a view of the city as a space where decay and growth coexist, translating urban intensity into a delicate, labor-intensive, and multi-layered material surface.
